Students across the dioceses took part in Masses for the Feast of the Assumption 15 August. Among them were students from Sacred Heart Primary School, Thorndon, who attended the parish Mass at their neighbouring Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Principal Bernadette Murfitt said, ‘The staff were so proud of our tamariki who were so reverent and reflective. Fr Patrick Bridgman explained about Heaven beautifully and simply. The Feast of the Assumption of Mary into Heaven is also the patronal feast of the Catholic people of Aotearoa. Special thanks to whānau who supported us.’ Photos: Supplied
