Lara Comeskey of St Mary’s College Wellington, competed in the New Zealand national cross-country mountain bike champs on Saturday 27 February, and was placed second in the under-15 females. The race was held at Christchurch’s Crocodile XC Mountain Bike Park on a steep and technical course. Lara felt strong going into the race and held her position well, finishing just 41 seconds behind the winner and four minutes and nine seconds in front of third place. Photo: Supplied
