For the first time in eight seasons, the Marist St Pats Premier team won the first round in Wellington club rugby—the Swindale Shield—and went on to share the Jubilee Cup. The winning MSP team is pictured.
Victor Vito, left, is an MSP Premier grade player and received the Wellington Rugby Union’s Award for the Most Promising Player of the 2008 year. Ged Robinson (an Old Boy of St Patrick’s College “Town”) was the MSP 2008 Premier Captain and subsequently a member of the successful Wellington Lions team.
