Star of the Sea Parish held a cultural concert in Blenheim on 18 May. The Tongan community graced us with two beautiful dances for the youth; youth workers Mieke and Maurice Davies gave us a soul performance; and a Barbershop chorus, ukulele group and two cast members fresh from the local production of Mary Poppins delighted us with songs. All in all, there was enough variety to entertain everyone who showed their appreciation after every number. The Sunday morning music ministry group, AKA Vintage vibes, played for the rest of the evening for everyone to enjoy and for those who got on the dance floor.
