On Thursday 5 April, the Junior children of St Patrick’s School, Napier, took part in a ‘Day like Jesus Lived’. This was a celebration of the children’s learning about how Jesus lived and is how he is a role model for how we live our lives today. During our shared meal we tasted foods as Jesus would have eaten including grapes, flat breads, hummus, honey, dates and almonds. The children also dressed up like Jesus’ friends. The children had a fantastic time and could share lots about their learning with family and friends. Words and photo: Nikki Thompson
