Monday 12th February saw a packed house at St Mary’s of the Angels for the celebration and commission of Catholic educators in the North Island Archdiocese of Wellington. We were delighted to have so many join us for our first shared Mass of the year with those in our Catholic primary and secondary schools. This Mass follows on from our South Island Commissioning Mass on Friday 9th February at St Mary’s Church in Nelson. These Masses recognise over 90 recipients in the Wellington Archdiocese who have taken up additional study and Professional Development in Catholic Education. Many thanks to Archbishop Paul and his fellow priests who concelebrated Mass; to the organisers, readers and musicians who made this such a joyfilled occasion and to each person who came and whose presence enriched our celebration. May this year ahead be prayer filled and blessed for you all.
