Kia ora koutou to all who have come to Wellington city this week for the Catholic Education Convention and thank you for your mahi in our Catholic education system.

This convention organised by the NZ Catholic Education Office brings together Catholic educators, Bishops, priests, school trustees and a range of others associated with our national Catholic education system together from across the country, with over 700 delegates attending. The theme of the Convention is “Tūhono Whakapono: Together, one faith community” and includes seminars led by local and international speakers, opportunities for attendees to network and share stories with one another.

From our archdiocesan offices, Gerard Tully (Schools Leadership Mentor and Advisor) is leading a seminar “In the spirit of revolutionary change: the 50-hour working week”, and Chris Duthie-Jung (Director of Church Mission) and Lucienne Hensel (Pastoral Ministry Advisor) are leading a seminar on “Entering the community of faith: the school as accessible church.”
