November 2021: World Day of the Poor
The Archdiocese hosted a webinar on the Fifth World Day of the Poor, focusing on experiences and perspectives from recent Archdiocesan Benefit Impacts. We heard short presentations from organisers of the Benefit Impacts, and there was an opportunity to chat directly in breakout rooms with community advocates who took part.

November 2020: World Day of the Poor
Despite the uncertainty of the Covid-19 restrictions and lockdowns of 2020, the Archdiocesan Mass for the World Day of the Poor was able to go ahead at St Joseph’s Levin with contributions from many communities of the parish, including the Tongan community (pictured). Cardinal John encouraged all families and households of the Archdiocese to find ways to safely share food with others, to continue to reach out at a time when we were often unable to meet in person.
