SENT-Kua Tukuna, the Archdiocese’s young adult discipleship group, meets on the first Thursday of every month. We aim to explore how we are called to live our lives on mission. We live in challenging times and are often faced with difficult situations that we do not always have ready-made answers for. Our world, and indeed our Church, is hurting in many ways and it can be hard to know how to respond to our own and other’s needs.
We are currently engaging with Pope Francis’ Gaudate et
Exsultate. In Gaudete et Exsultate (The call to
Holiness in Today’s World) Pope Francis says “We are never completely ourselves
unless we belong to a people. That is why no one is saved alone, as an isolated
individual. Rather, God draws us to himself, taking into account the complex
fabric of interpersonal relationships present in a human community. God wanted
to enter into the life and history of a people”.
Whatever we face each day, we are called to
respond with holiness and to live our lives as a mission, and we are called to
this together. This does not have to be scary or out of the ordinary. We can
even do it over a beer! So come and join us:
