Jess Ferroni our Seasons for Growth Kaiwhakaako/kairuruku (Trainer/Coordinator) recently attended the Mahi Aroha Awards 2024 with our volunteer Bridgett who received a nomination and shares a reflection!"Attending the Mahi Aroha Awards 2024 on Thursday, 20th June was a truly inspiring experience! This special evening was dedicated to celebrating the outstanding volunteers in our community, and it was wonderful to highlight the efforts of Catholic Social Services Seasons For Growth Volunteer, Bridgett. Although Bridgett did not win, it was a joy to be there with her and recognize her incredible contribution. Her dedication and hard work exemplify the spirit of volunteerism that strengthens our community.The evening was heart-warming, filled with stories of people generously donating their time and skills to support various causes. It was a perfect opportunity to express our gratitude to all the volunteers who make such a significant difference in our lives.We were also treated to an amazing performance by Karori Normal School’s Kapa Haka Seniors, which added to the celebratory atmosphere of the night. Their talent and energy were truly impressive and made the event even more memorable.Thank you to all the volunteers for your unwavering dedication and hard work. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and our community is stronger because of you! 🌟🙌"

A joyful and blessed homecoming to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart
The doors of the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and St Mary His Mother were opened once again this month for all the people of the Archdiocese of Wellington and beyond to return to their place of worship.
